apply for organizational license plates. |

1. Assign plate with post
number
2. Assign to specific
officer (President, Commander or Adjutant)
3. Only one set of
plates per office per post
a) If currently
assigned, must obtain plates from previous officer and complete
BMV Form 4814 (Release from Special Plate). The plate will be displayed in place of
regular plate. The applicant must submit a copy of their valid registration
card. The original plates and registration card must be carried in the
vehicle at all times and shown upon request from a law enforcement officer.

Title Requirements: |
Ohio Certificate of Title issued
in officer's name, either singly or jointly, or the name is the same name on
the lease agreement. |

Vehicle Information: |
These plates may be issued to
passenger vehicles, noncommercial trucks, motor homes, house vehicles and
non-commercial trailers. |

Type of Plates: |
Manufactured plates with the
organization represented designated on plates. |

Issuance Information: |
Plates must be obtained through
the Bureau of Motor vehicles in Columbus. These plates cannot be issued by a
deputy registrar agency. |

Cost: |
There is a fee for organizational
plates of $5.00, in addition to normal registration fees. The fee is
determined by Ohio Revised Code section 4503.18. |
