Cattlemen's (Ohio Beef) Truck Plate Image

General Information:

You may choose to support the Ohio Cattlemen’s Foundation by purchasing the Ohio Cattlemen’s Foundation Truck license plates.  Fifteen dollars ($15.00) of the total plate cost is distributed to the Ohio Cattlemen’s Foundation for the funding of scholarships and other educational activities which supports the Ohio Beef Industry. 

Registrant Eligibility:

Ohio Cattlemen’s truck license plates may be issued to any Ohio resident.  These plates may not be issued to commercial trailers or IRP vehicles.  Farm truck applicants must submit a weight slip and proof of payment of Heavy Vehicle Use Tax (2290), if the vehicle has a gross vehicle weight of 55,000 pounds or more and is driven more that 7,5000 miles annually.  Commercial truck applicants must provide a verbal declaration of the unladen weight and gross vehicle weight, a signed Declaration of Knowledge (PUC 3422) and proof of payment of Heavy Vehicle Use Tax (2290), if the vehicle has a gross vehicle weight of 55,000 pounds or more.

These plates may be issued to commercial and farm trucks.

System assigned plate number, initial reserve and personalized.

Issuance Information:

Truck plates may only be ordered at your local deputy registrar’s office.  A customer may also order reserve or personalized plates.  When plates are ordered at a deputy registrar’s office, the deputy will issue a registration card and validation stickers and provide the customer with a window permit.  This window permit will allow the customer to operate their vehicle while their plates are being manufactured.  All plates will be mailed to the customer at the address listed on the registration card.  If you have questions regarding obtaining these plates please contact your local deputy registrar, visit the BMV Web site at www.ohiobmv.com or by calling 1-800-589-TAGS (1-800-589-8247).

Cost:

Ohio Cattlemen’s Truck license plates cost $25.00 as determined by Ohio Revised Code, section 4503.502, in addition to annual registration fees.  Registration fees are subject to the gross vehicle weight of the vehicle.  Please refer to your Deputy Registrar with questions regarding registration fees.
