General Information: |
A church bus is used exclusively
to transport members of a church congregation to and from church services or
church functions or to transport children and their authorized supervisors
to and from camping functions sponsored by a nonprofit, tax-exempt,
charitable or philanthropic organization. |

Registrant Eligibility:

May be issued to any Ohio Church.
Must submit application signed by owner or lessor,
BMV 5712 (Affidavit for
Registration) if vehicle type is not bus, school bus or mini bus,
BMV 3135
(Financial Responsibility) for owner or lessee (if application is not
submitted) Completion of BMV 4908 - Church Bus Inspection to be completed by
Ohio State Highway Patrol. |

Vehicle Information: |
Vehicle must be titled as a bus,
school bus or mini bus with a seating capacity of nine (9) or more
passengers. |

Plates are issued at
deputy registrar license
agencies and the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Columbus. |

Cost: |
These plates cost $10.00
annually. The fee is determined by Ohio Revised Code section 4503.07. |
