Probationary License Suspension (P3) 3 Violations

Ohio Revised Code Section 4510.31(a

• Convicted of, pleaded guilty to or been adjudicated in juvenile court of having committed three separate moving violations under Section 4510.31 (a) prior to the person's 18th birthday.

• 1 Year

• A youth may appeal for limited driving privileges to the court in which the third conviction was received. If driving privileges are granted the court will issue a permit indicating the dates the limited privileges are in effect and the times and places at which the person may drive.

• Serve the suspension period
• At the end of the suspension period, complete a Juvenile Driver Improvement Program, and retake the complete driver license examination
• Apply for a temporary permit packet at your nearest Driver License Exam Station taking the necessary acceptable documents with you for proof of your date of birth and Social Security number

• Payment of reinstatement fee

• You are entitled to an Administrative Hearing on this matter;
• Your request for a hearing must be made to this Bureau within 30 days of the mailing date of the notice;
• After the request is made, you will be notified of the time and place of the hearing. You may appear in person, or you may be represented by an Attorney;
• The scope of the hearing is to present evidence and examine witnesses that can show cause why your driving privileges should not be suspended;
• After the Administrative Hearing, the Hearing Office will send a recommendation to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. You will be notified by mail of the decision.
