The BMV will be launching our new "ID R KIDS" for Safety campaign at this year's Ohio State Fair. In conjunction with the Ohio Amber Alert Network, we encourage parents to obtain an official State of Ohio identification card for all children in Ohio. In the event your child wanders off and becomes lost, or, worst case scenario, is kidnapped, law enforcement agencies will be able to pull up a current picture of your child through our database, which will greatly assist in their search for your child.

The 2008 Ohio State Fair runs July 30-August 10. The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) will be located in the Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) booth, in the northeast corner of the Marketplace (Bricker Building). The license agency will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In addition to the BMV license agency, the following ODPS divisions also have displays: ODPS Administration, Emergency Management Agency, Emergency Medical Services, Homeland Security, Investigative Unit, Office of Criminal Justice Services, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The BMV features a full-service deputy registrar license agency at the 2008 Ohio State Fair, providing the following services:

• Free Vision Screening

• New, Renewal and Replacement Vehicle Registration (License Plates/Sticker)

• Driver Licenses Issued and Renewed

• Voter Registration and Change of Address

• Driver Abstracts Available for $2.00

• "Get Personal" Computer to Check Availability of Special Plates

• Purchase of Special Plates

• Applications for Issuance of Disability Placards

• Informational Brochures
