  1. Driving Record - This document is used to transfer your driver's license to the new state. It's also recommended you write your drivers license number down and keep in a safe place. The state you are transferring you driver's license to, will keep your Ohio driver's license. If you change insurance carriers, they will ask for your driver license number. This driving record information is for the last 36 months.

  2. Vehicle Registration Record - If you do not have this document already, you will need to get a replacement, so that you can register your vehicles in your new state of residency.

  3. Drivers License Application - This document may be needed if you have renewed your driver's license in the last 2 years. A driving records' issue date, is the date you last renewed your license. The driver's license application is a copy of previous renewed applications for up to 7 years.

  4. Calling your new state or country of residency, to see what is required, will save your time, money and inconvenience.
