Tobacco Violation

Ohio Revised Code Section 2151.354


Cause

When a person under 18 years of age is convicted of possessing, using, purchasing, or receiving cigarettes or other tobacco products.

Length of Suspension

Up to 30 days.

Appeal Procedure

None.

Limited Driving Privileges:

None.

Reinstatement Requirements:

  1. Attend a youth smoking education program or other smoking treatment program approved by the court.

  2. A fine of up to $100.00.
    * If the above requirements are not met, the court may also require:

          A.  An increase in the fine.
          B.  Perform not more than 20 hours of community service.
          C.  License suspension for 30 days.
