License Suspension (P2)
Ohio Revised Code Section 4510.31 (C)
Cause
Convicted of, pleaded guilty to or been adjudicated in juvenile
court of having committed two separate moving violations under Section 4510.31
(A1) prior
to the person's eighteenth birthday. *2nd Conviction must have an offense date greater than 12/31/98
Length of Revocation
90 days.
Appeal
A youth may appeal for limited driving privileges
to the court in which the second conviction was received. If driving privileges are granted
the court will issue a permit indicating the dates the limited privileges are in
effect and the times and places at which the person may drive.
Reinstatement
Requirements:
Serve the suspension period;
At the end of the suspension
period, complete a Juvenile Driver Improvement Program, and retake the
complete driver license examination;
Apply
for a temporary permit packet at your nearest
Deputy Registrar
location taking the necessary
acceptable documents with you
for proof of birth and social security number.
$30.00 reinstatement.
You
Have the Right to an Administrative Hearing:
You are
entitled to an Administrative Hearing on this matter;
Your
request for a hearing must be made to this Bureau within thirty(30) days of the mailing
date of the notice;
After
the request is made, you will be notified of the time and place of the hearing. You
may appear in person, or you may be represented by an Attorney;
The
scope of the hearing is to present evidence and examine witnesses that can show cause why
your driving privileges should not be suspended;
After the Administrative Hearing, the Hearing Office will send a
recommendation to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. You will be notified by mail.
