Camping Trailer Dealer Image

Dealer primarily engaged in the business of selling new camping trailers.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must have an established place of business.

  • Must have a sign in the exact business name, including any registered trade names, with letters at least six inches high.

Application Requirements:
  • Form BMV 4320 PDF Icon Image - application must be completed and notarized.

  • Financial statement information, indicating a net worth of at least $10,000.

  • Photographs of the lot, sign, and office at the business location.

  • BMV Form 4452 PDF Icon Image (Instructions Only) - Civilian Identification Card must be completed by the applicant's local police department and the waiver must be signed by the applicant. The civilian identification card will be forwarded to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation & Identification for a state-wide record check.  Acceptable fingerprint card(s) may be obtained only by contacting the Dealer Licensing Section at (614) 752-7634.

    *Fingerprinting option: In lieu of submitting a fingerprint card and $15.00 fee you may elect to visit  one of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles Regional Service Centers, National Background Check, Incorporated or Secure Check, Incorporated facilities and have your prints electronically scanned.

  • Form BMV 4319 - Manufacturer/Distributor Statement of Contract. Must be completed by the manufacturer or distributor and the dealer.

License Eligibility:

 

Any felony conviction or any misdemeanor conviction related to dealing in motor vehicles is reason for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles to DENY the application.

Plate Eligibility:

Dealers are required to purchase at least one dealer plate.

Inspections:

An on-site inspection of the premises will be conducted by a BMV investigator to determine if the location meets all physical requirements. Once a license is issued, the dealership is subject to random inspections, including pertinent records, to confirm that compliance is being maintained.
